This year’s focus is creating The “Share the Ride Challenge” with the goal of improving air quality in the Susquehanna Valley by emphasizing alternate modes of transportation. This initiative's objective is to expand the successful "Share the Ride" Program, formerly coordinated by Red Rose Transit Authority in Lancaster County, into the four other Counties the Partnership reaches; Cumberland, Harrisburg, Lebanon and York.

“We're excited to see something we launched here in Lancaster moving to a more regional level,” states RRTA's Executive Director Dave Kilmer. The business community’s participation throughout the Susquehanna Valley is key to the success of the Share the Ride Challenge because employees and their daily work commutes collectively make an enormous impact on the area’s air quality.
